Kick-off Meating

The VibroFON project officially commenced with its kick-off meeting on 17 October 2025, held at the Studio of the Laboratory of Music Acoustics and Technology (LabMAT). The project team gathered to outline the research plan, clarify roles across the work packages, and discuss the first steps toward the design and implementation of the vibrotactile monitoring prototype.

This opening meeting set the foundations for the project’s collaborative framework, bringing together researchers from audio engineering, signal processing, mechanics, music studies, and deaf education. It also marked the beginning of VibroFON’s engagement with its partner organisations, paving the way for the upcoming investigative and co-design activities with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
